BINAXNOW Malaria Rapid Tests
The Asia-Pacific region accounts for nearly 70% of the burden outside the World Health Organisation (WHO) African region. The prevalence of P. falciparum and P. vivax varies by country but on average is around 60% and 40%, respectively. Within this region, India and Indonesia accounted for 80% and 16% of the reported cases and 60% and 30% of malaria deaths in 2016, respectively.

SD BIOLINE Malaria Rapid Tests
Malaria is a serious and sometimes fatal parasitic disease characterized by fever, chills and anemia. The disease is caused by a parasite that is transmitted from one human to another through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. The disease now occurs in 95 countries worldwide, and it is estimated that there are over 214 million clinical cases and 438,000 malariacaused deaths in 2015, 95 % of them are African children. The infection with P. falciparum, if not promptly treated, may be fatal.
Malaria RDT performance of Rounds 1 and 2 for P. falcifarum
Malaria RDT performance in Phase 2 of Rounds 1 and 2 against wild type (clinical) samples containing P. falciparum at low (200) and high (2000 or 5000) parasite densities (parasites/μl) and clean-negative samples
Best Performance of SD BIOLINE Malaria Ag Pf/Pv for P. vivax detection
Phase 2 P. vivax panel detection score of malaria RDTs at low (200) and high (2000) parasite densities (parasites/μl) according to target antigen type (aldolase, pLDH, aldolase + pLDH)
